I'm running for New Hampshire House District 36 to represent the people of Brookline, Mason, and Greenville. Our families, neighbors, and towns deserve a representative who will support and respect local solutions to local issues. I believe we are at our best when neighbors come together to solve local problems.

I've called New Hampshire home since 1995, when I moved here after college to begin my career at BAE Systems in Nashua. More than 30 years later, I still lead teams there, developing technology that supports the men and women who serve our country while emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.

​

Raised in rural upstate New York, I developed a lifelong love of the outdoors, history, and small-town communities. I enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting, exploring New England, metal detecting, and campfire evenings with family and friends.

My wife, Brenda, and I have built our lives in New Hampshire and raised our family here. Family comes first for us: we make time for each other, share adventures, and support one another.

I served two terms on the Mascenic School Board, working with fellow members on long-term planning, fiscal stewardship, and the needs of students, families, and taxpayers.

​

Across my career and public service, I've focused on bringing people together to solve problems, build consensus, and plan ahead. That experience has shaped my understanding of our local challenges and strengthened my commitment to thoughtful, informed public service.

 

That commitment to listening shapes how I think about the issues voters raise most often: property taxes are too high, and public schools need better funding. These issues are closely connected and affect all of us, regardless of party, profession, or income; strong public schools strengthen our communities and support our local property economy.

Here's what it looks like in practice: New Hampshire's Constitution requires the state to provide every child an adequate education, yet the state funds public schools at roughly $4,000 per student, an amount courts have repeatedly ruled inadequate. The most recent court ruling came in a case in which the Mascenic School Board, on which I served, was a co-plaintiff.

 

In that decision, the court determined that the minimum adequate funding level is about $7,000 per student. Rather than close that gap, our representatives passed HB1815, redefining "adequate" instead of funding it, pushing more cost onto local property taxpayers and leaving New Hampshire dead last in the nation for state education funding. A child's ZIP code shouldn't determine the quality of their education.

​Our towns deserve a state that keeps its promises and a representative who keeps listening. I'm asking for your vote to carry that message to Concord.​
